Let's be honest...pregnancy and childbirth take a huge toll on your body...especially your core...and yet it gets little to no attention.
The usual advice is to just keep doing what you're doing in terms of exercise during pregnancy, or to simply return to your usual activity at 6 weeks postpartum.
This is NOT good enough!
Hardly anyone talks about EXACTLY what happens to your core during pregnancy, or exactly how you should go about healing it postpartum, so that you aren't plagued with a mommy pooch, core weakness, leaking, back and hip pain, and so you can return to your pre-baby fitness (and life) without worry.
These common core and pelvic floor issues that you may be experiencing are all caused by underlying imbalances and compensations in your postpartum body like poor breathing patterns, poor alignment, poor lifestyle habits, and/or poor use of your muscles.
